For YouthForce, our annual Graduation Ceremony serves as a rite of passage that symbolizes the culmination of weeks of dedication, growth, hard work, and the pursuit of personal and professional development.   Yesterday, our summer cohort gathered alongside Regional Councillors, Community Partners, and other local dignitaries at the Council Chambers. They showcased their summer work projects, shared their experiences, and received words of wisdom and encouragement.   This ceremonial event bridges the gap between the past and the future, granting graduates a strong sense of accomplishment and empowerment as they embark on the next chapter of their personal and professional adventures.   In a few short months, they have fostered community connections, created art and greenspaces that improved community members' physical and mental health and taught us the true power of growth and community building, and that's something to celebrate - cheers, graduates! 🎓

YouthForce is officially out in the community, and the teams are off to a great start this summer! They’ve been travelling by bus all over Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Elmira! In case you're not familiar with our work, YouthForce is an Employment Social Enterprise (ESE) that connects youth (15-29) facing barriers to employment with meaningful work through service projects and skills training that help eliminate barriers while giving back to the community. We focus on inclusion, accessibility, equity, and wrap-around support while prioritizing employment opportunities for youth living in or around affordable housing communities. We serve the Waterloo Region through a variety of service-based community contracts.
